VORTAL has successfully completed the audit requirements of the EUPLAT Accreditation Standard and achieved the official EUPLAT Accreditation Standard certificate via Bureau Veritas.
This certification standard was developed and implemented in 2015 by the European Association of Public e-Tendering Platform Providers (EUPLAT). It evidences that VORTAL offers clients exceptional value by enhancing their procurement process, and offers guarantees of legal compliance, accessibility to tenders, transparency and security.
The EUPLAT Accreditation Standard is connected to EU Directive 2014/24/EU, and complements the Europe 2020 strategy aimed at tangible, sustainable economic growth within a wider European perspective.
EUPLAT Accreditation Standard
The new standard developed by EUPLAT includes a three-year certification cycle that submits participating organizations to an extensive auditing process covering the technology interface, interviews with customers, and security, operations and helpdesk procedures.
The standard encompasses a set of strict requirements and corresponding assessment criteria regarding compliance with legislation, the transparency of services and the user-friendly handling of e-tendering platforms, in addition to privacy and information security.
An essential aspect of the EUPLAT strategy focuses on stimulating and creating requirements for an efficient, transparent, cross-border and standardized approach to public tenders and underlying processes. In this particular context, public e-tendering has acquired a prominent and increasingly important position in the international business arena.
