Vortal, powered by Hubexo, is proud to have earned the prestigious “Equal Pay Seal,” awarded by the Commission for Equality in Employment (CITE). This is the first time Vortal has received this recognition, in its second year of awarding, highlighting our commitment to fostering a fair and equal work environment where all employees are treated equitably, regardless of gender.

This year, the increased number of companies applying for the seal reflects a growing commitment to equal pay and demonstrates the expansion of this movement towards equality in the workforce.

Despite progress, the gender pay gap remains in Portugal, with an average difference of 13.2%, rising to 16% when considering bonuses and allowances. This underscores the importance of initiatives like the “Equal Pay Seal,” which go beyond legal compliance and represent a continuous, genuine commitment to change.

Since the implementation of Law No. 60/2018, which aims to promote equal pay, the seal is awarded to companies that show a gender pay gap of less than 1%, according to the CITE annual barometer. For Vortal, this distinction validates our daily work in building a more inclusive and just environment where merit and competence are the key criteria for evaluation.

This recognition not only strengthens our internal commitment to equality but also serves as an inspiration for other organizations, encouraging them to adopt more transparent and equitable practices. Vortal believes that digital transformation and innovation should be reflected not only in technology but also in how companies manage their human capital, promoting social responsibility towards employees and society.

The “Equal Pay Seal” is more than just a distinction; it is a continuous incentive to build an organizational culture where equality and justice are non-negotiable values. Vortal, powered by Hubexo, thanks CITE for the recognition and reaffirms its commitment to being an active agent in promoting a more equitable and transparent job market.
